Over the past three weeks we have been making final changes to the design of our product. We have made a total of three prototypes (pictured above). For the final design we added extra slots along each side so users can wrap the cord in any direction they want while maintaining the functionality of the accessory.
    We have also created the remaining components of our brand that allow us to market our venture as well as our product. The product logo 'Bud Hub' (pictured above) and our slogan is 'CORDinated solutions'. The logo will appear on the label attached to the product and the slogan will appear on any marketing materials (posters, flyers, handouts, etc.) that we use when selling the product.
    We have also stepped up our presence online. We have updated our Facebook page and have created an online store where customers can place orders. The store is scheduled to go live by the end of the week. To gauge which colors a majority of our customers are interested in purchasing, we have asked everyone who has 'liked' our Facebook page to send us their suggestions. The production of the Bud Hub is 7-8 hour process that involves us having them made in 6 piece batches using the stereo lithography  (3D layering) machine located in the basement of ISAT. It takes approximately 6 hours for this step to be completed. Next, we take them and paint them and let them dry. This takes an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The final step is to place the Bud Hub with instructions into the packaging with the 'Bud Hub' label on the exterior.
    We plan to begin selling by this weekend, throughout the remainder of the semester, and hopefully long after!
